We arrived at a campsite in the black hills at about 7 and after setting up camp took advantage of an hour or two before supper and walked down a path to the large resovoir close to where we were camping.
I walked along the shore casting with my spinner rooster tail and walked along the banks after a while I came to a pier but after getting my hook stuck i decided to move on again. Finally i came to a shallow inlet.
After fishing there for a bit (without any bites of course) I had to return to the camp.
After eating some delicious baked beans, steak and corn-on-the-cob we retired to our tent.
Waking up in the middle of the night i heard an owl close on hand.
The next morning i walked to the inlet and observed a number of bass (none of which would bite)and some juvinile crappies. Finally i got a 4 inch crappy but let him go.
Finally i had to eat breakfast so i walked back disco0uraged by the lack of a full stringer.
After breakfast i set for the third and final time. I went to a differant part of the reservoir and tried my luk there. Almost imediately i hooked and landed a 8 inch bass on a plastic worm. about 20 minutes later i hooked something else, this was no juvi.
After a long fight to the shore i saw, through the crystal clear water a thirteen inch bass. i had hooked it! i brought it succesfully to shore and after taking pictures released it for another angler to catch.
