We arrived at the floating restaurant at about 11:00 and decided to go on a walk before lunch. Then we heard that the suspended trails were under water and we would have to go by boat. We decided to try to go on the trails even if we did get wet.

The wooden suspended trail was 6-10 inches of water. It was actually very nice walking ankle deep in water in the hot jungle.

A large monkey

The water ranged from muddy to almost clear.

Huge lilly pads were everywhere!

I dipped my net in several times and was able to catch a few pretty Rivulus sp.

I also caught some slugs, bugs and tadpoles.

Then I walked back along the suspended trails to the restaurant.

Enjoying my new camera I took some pictures of a spider (not an opilione).
